Ventilator and
Respiratory Care Program

Our dedicated ventilator dependent and respiratory care unit opened in 1999. This unit is staffed 24 hours a day, 7 days a week by Registered Respiratory Therapists who support and work with the medical and licensed nursing staff to provide optimal care. The quiet serene atmosphere of the unit, that overlooks an inlet of the Long Island Sound, nurtures the spirit and creates a therapeutic milieu. The goal is to provide treatment that, when possible, will wean the resident off the ventilator.
