Established by the Ninth Manhattan District, a fraternal group of the New York State Freemasons, Dumont Masonic Home is a not-for-profit residential health care facility serving the frail elderly and others with special needs in our community. It began as a home for the elderly, in Tappan, New York, in the late 1800s. Proud of that history, our modern building is home to many of the artifacts, including beautiful stained glass windows, from the original Masonic chapel.
Our mission is to honor our legacy of caring by recognizing the uniqueness of each individual while providing an environment of wellness and promoting independence for each resident.
Dumont Masonic Home does not discriminate on the basis of race, creed, color national origin, handicap, sex, age, source of payment, marital status, sexual preference, blindness or sponsorship in admission retention and care of residents.
